Green Building practices in Oklahoma

The Bring It Home Initiative can help us to build smart by providing best value approaches, ideas, tips, and practices to meet the energy code requirements. While mandatory adoption of this code has not yet occurred, we have been made aware that it will be a required code in the State of Oklahoma no later than January 1, 2017 and possibly earlier as determined by the Oklahoma Uniform Building Code Commission. In anticipation of this, the Bring It Home Initiative provides a way for city staff and area builders to receive free training and develop skills for building energy efficient residences in compliance with this code. By participating in this free training opportunity, Bartlesville area builders will be ahead of the curve and their services will be in greater demand throughout the State when the code is required Statewide.

I need some help building a practice green?

I've been wanting to build a practice green in my back yard. My dream would to build it with some dips and different breaks, as well as a sand trap. I would like the green to be decent size, mabye like 30x18 with a dogleg shape. I would like to avoid turf and buy real grass, however i live in Minnesota so the winers are harsh. I would like to know how to build this and how much i would be paying. Thanks!

You will need a professional, it is very complicated and involves things like drainage, stability, grass species, cup placement, reinforcements, etc. If not done right the first time, the first freeze will cause it to heave.
